There is no denying that Kyrenia and the North Cyprus region is a really sunny place during the summer months, when the Mediterranean climate is especially hot and intense. The constant sunny weather at Kyrenia can last for more than 12 hours a day, meaning that you can pack your days with sightseeing, al fresco dining and sunbathing on the surrounding beaches.

Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

Between July and August, temperatures at Kyrenia peak at around 35°C / 95°F, rising to 40°C / 104°F on occasion. The surrounding Mediterranean Sea warms up rapidly in the summer, rising as high as 28°C / 82°F or thereabouts. Even in the winter season, the sea temperature rarely falls much below 16°C / 61°F.

Cyprus holidays continue to be popular during both spring and autumn climates, while Kyrenia is at its quietest in the winter season, when wet weather is more likely. However, even during the winter months, there are still plenty of fine days, allowing golfers to enjoy the exceptional selection of golf courses on North Cyprus.
